In the Village Hall and by Zoom, 1930.
Talk by Atzin Madrid, from Equiwatt.
‘Why demand management and engaging communities of homes can collectively make a difference to our energy systems’.
The talk focused on how residential demand side response can help UK households collectively help the transition toward renewable energy, providing flexibility to the grid and reducing energy use during peak times by acting as a virtual power plant through connected assets such as EVs and home appliances.
Atzin is Equiwatt’s Product Manager and is passionate about energy and sustainability. Born and raised in Mexico City, Atzin fell in love with Edinburgh when she came across to study a masters in Energy Society and Sustainability at the University of Edinburgh. She presented the talk via Zoom.
After Atzin’s talk we provided a short update about project work.
