Hive Market 22 Nov 2020
Join The Hive Market Online this Sunday, and shop virtually with a great group of Local Traders and Businesses who need our help more than ever. Supporting local businesses is part of creating a holistic and sustainable community, boosting the local economy and creating jobs and opportunities.
We aren’t able to have a live Hive Market at the Rec on Sunday but we are having a virtual one via zoom. Each stall holder will have a room which you can enter and view their produce. I hope you can join us.
To join just register here. Instructions will be sent nearer the time and the market will be open from 10-2
The Funds are going towards Be Free YC, a charity based locally on Harwell Campus.
First Hive Market Oct 25 2020
Sustainable Harwell, together with Sally Povolotsky from The Hive Hut, East Hendred, organised the first Hive Market in Harwell on 25th October. The stalls were a range of independent local businesses who operate in a sustainable way. There were a variety of craft and food stalls plus a Bicycle Repair Service in attendance. Sustainable Harwell and our local councillors Hayleigh Gascoigne and Sarah Medley also had stalls.
We are pleased to say that it was a great success with an estimated 500+ visitors, many of whom walked or cycled to the event
Abiding by the latest Covid19 regulations the stalls were spaced well apart, a one way system was in operation, the NHS QR code was offered at the entry and at every stall, hand sanitiser was available on each stall and visitors were given safety instructions as they entered.
Thank you for taking all the advice on board and ensuring a safe and happy event for everyone.
